One of the latest TV drama of Nishikido-kun is Trace: Kasouken no Otoko. This TV drama was aired in a year of 2019 at Fuji TV. It contained 11 episodes. In this drama, Nishikido-kun will be acting as Mano Reiji. Mano Reiji is a forensic scientist that works for a crime case. Apparently, in this drama. Mano Reiji character must be a serious man who are very passionately doing his job. Mano Reiji wanted to become a forensic scientist right after his family was killed when he was a kid. (Apperently I don't know when the thought triggered to Mano Reiji, but I assume it triggered his mind during that incident)
For those who haven't watch yet, please watch because this drama is a very must watch. In this drama, the way he act was likely he was in his past TV Drama which is "Last Friends", which apparently also organized by Fuji TV.
In the interview, few questions was asked to Nishikido-kun. He was very honored to work with Fuji TV again after it has been a long time he worked with them. When he was told that his character will be researcher, he started to watch "Kasouken no Onna" and laughed.
When he received the scripts and knowing how Mano Reiji's characteristic, Nishikido-kun was like he must be acting like a serious person. He decided to act like a cool person, but he laughed during the interview because he said that how to be acting as a cool when he already 34 years old. (Seriously, in this drama he really really cool like an adult cool. Very handsome xD)
During the script reading, Nishikido-kun had a hard time because too many words that are not use in his daily life. Hence, once he got the script, he looked for the difficult words and marked them. Fuji TV also provides a tools that used by the forensic scientist like fingerprint, pH level checker and etc. These tools were too help Nishikido-kun to be able easy adapt and get into the Mano Reiji character.
Nishikido-kun had a hard time when acting as Mano Reiji because there are nothing in common with himself and Mano Reiji's character. So, he need to study and study harder to become the character, and the result is he happened to get into the Mano Reiji's character perfectly. (In my opinion only :P)
One of the habit of Mano Reiji in this drama is saying "Kimochiwarui" as expressing a disgust when somebody nearby stated or bring out the truth when truthfully it was not because the truth being stated weren't with the complete evidence and suddenly that somebody just stated out the truth with 'instinct', this thing happens maybe because of the case of his bereaved family was investigate and the case closed by instinct (Maybe! I don't want to spoil everything here :P)
Another unique character in Mano Reiji was his passionate in his job. Mano Reiji are very serious but calm when it comes to work because he wants to seek the truth with evidence not by instinct. Sadly, he closed his heart to anybody and only focus his job until he find the truth behind his family's case.
